Often we go about doing church without thinking about why we do what we do. It's easy, then, to lose sight of the purpose and value of the practices that we engage in so regularly.
In this series we hope to shine light on why we do what we do, and explore how we might do it better. There won't be too many surprises--we're not proposing new ways of doing church--but hopefully we will find greater clarity in and appreciation for these foundational Christian practices.

In Acts, we see how the Holy Spirit transformed hearts and through them could use his power to change the world for the better.
We're going to look at key people and events in Acts that demonstrate this combination of transformed heart and the power of the Spirit.

In his first letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul explains the key place of love in Christian life. Nothing is more important!
But love is not just an abstract concept for Paul. Nor is it a culturally relative concept--one that changes with the changes mores of society. Love is grounded in God. Paul writes what is probably the most famous definition of love in an attempt to explain to the Corinthians how they must live.
