Paul first expresses his basic request for the Philippians (as a caring father) and then mentions the results that he hopes God will produce in them in answer to his prayers.

When you are in need of a place to escape disaster, people or wildlife that intend you harm, where do you go? Where could you go? Where do you WISH you could go? Have you ever thought about it? Do you have an escape plan? It would be wise to consider such things.
