How do we respond to betrayal? Where do we turn when people turn on us?
In John 13:21-30 Jesus is confronted with his imminant betrayal by his friend Judas.
How did Jesus walk with Judas for so long knowing he was going to turn on him? How did he respond when the hour came? Why didn’t the other disciples realize he was never truly one of them?
We look at this passage, and compare the responses of Jesus, Judas, Peter, and the “beloved disciple” — John himself — when faced with this moment.

In this sermon, Pastor John walk us through what it means to follow Jesus. Some people find themselves following Jesus but from a distance, not identifying with Him, not speaking up for Him not announcing our relationship with Him. Peter provides a strong lesson of how Jesus followers drift away from Him and eventually denying Him before others.

Jesus washed the disciples feet and said it was an example to them. They were to repeat this type of behavior. He was their Master and Teacher and He was washing their feet. We are asked to esteem others better than ourselves. We who follow Jesus have been shown that our lives are secure in Him and we are, therefore, free to love anyone right now. Anyone. Even our enemy. We are asked by our Messiah to look out not only for our interests but for the interests of others. Jesus enables us to die to ourselves and to live lives beneficial for others. This would certainly be reflected in our marriages, our family relationships, our jobs, our churches, and anywhere else we might find ourselves. Jesus gives us a new commanment, we are to love each other, as His disciples, in the same way that He has loved us. These thoughts were shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
Luke 2021

Jesus is not surprised as we are. His humble obedience to the Father, even to the point of death, becomes for us a guiding principle as we follow Jesus. We often fail. He knows. He knew from the beginning. Still He has committed Himself to us His disciples. We have been left with two wonderful traditions by which we proclaim the good news of Jesus' Kingdom. The church of Jesus has continued in these two practices since her beginning and shall until our King returns. Make no mistake, it may look like He is failing at times. He is not. His Kingdom comes. Let us be those who watch and wait and learn to trust Him. These thoughts were shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, October 17, 2021.

This sermon is going to focus on the life of Judas and in doing so encourage us to never take our spiritual blessings for granite but instead out of thankfulness examine our hearts and confess our sins so that we might keep our eyes fixed on the perfecter of our faith, Jesus Christ (Hebrews 12:1-3)!
People at the Cross- Judas
Roy Jones • Amboy Friends Church • Sermon • • 15 views • 32:49
Today Roy helps to look at what we can learn from Judas. Even though Judas was one of the original twelve disciples, in the end he betrayed Jesus. He later had remorse, but did not seek forgiveness from the One who would have forgiven him. We all miss the mark and sin. It's when we seek His forgivenss and grace that we will find peace.
