Pastor Glenn • Grace United Family Church • Sermon • • 24 views • 46:54

Christians are being divided by calls for greater justice and they should not be. Biblical justice begins with personal justice: always doing what is right according to the law of God. This is the only biblical foundation for a "social" justice. Biblical justice also uses criminal justice to punish unjust actions through an objective and careful process where charges must be established by facts, and partiality and bribery are strictly forbidden.

The deep mercy that Paul exhibited earlier in the story is not set against his insistence that his rights be honored and justice be done; it informs and santifies it. When the glory of God and his people is at stake because of slanderous accusations, or when basic civil rights are being denied, which threatens all people, God's people must act. The message of God's special grace must always be primary, but the knowledge of his common grace must never be abandoned.
