A review of the Davidic Covenant and its fulfillment in Christ

God plays on the word "house" in his promise to David, and Zachariah sees more in John's being forerunner prophet to the Messiah, but read spiritually there is even more, we are the house in which Messiah lives, the New Jerusalem, and also the Baptist preparing the way for the return of the Messiah.

Grace is unearned and undeserved. David does not build a "house" for God, but God gives David an eternal "house."
