In this world we’re bombarded with temptation to focus on ourselves. Our status, popularity, career, authority, position, wealth, security, time, race, nationality, sexuality, feelings, thoughts, identity. James chapter 2 has a well known teaching about showing our faith by our works. This lesson doesn't focus on the relationship between works and salvation, rather, it keys on the idea that our faith can be dead - not breathing at all! What do we do when our actions aren't matching up to the faith we say we have?

"It is therefore faith alone which justifies, and yet the faith which justifies is not alone."

The bond between Faith and Good Works is inseparable. While we are saved by grace through faith alone, it is a true faith that is demonstrated by obedience to Jesus. The LORD knows those who are His. He is not deceived by our facades. do not be deceived, our Messiah Jesus has saved us for good works that we should walk in them!
