Pastor Jed Johnston • A Place Of Grace • Sermon • • 382 views • 48:41
Almost 26 years ago… I was 15 years old… God had orchestrated events and life lessons in my heart to draw me to the place I found myself that night in may 1993. That night God placed a distinct call on my heart and life to serve Him in full-time ministry… in order to hold myself accountable and never…

John 2021-2022
Jason Stuart Percy • Refuge TLH • Sermon • • 6 views • 1:26:08
Jesus died for our sins and He was buried. Jesus has risen from the dead. He is alive again. This fact is the central theme proclaimed by the followers of Jesus in the early years of the Church. If this isn't true, nothing else truly matters. If this is true, nothing else matters more. Confidence in the resurrection affects our behavior and our willingness to give and to suffer. Jesus is still more patient and gentle than we have ever known. Will you trust Him?I want you to trust Him. These thoughts shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, March 13, 2022.

Luke 2021
Jason Stuart Percy • Refuge TLH • Sermon • • 6 views • 1:12:54
Jesus' ministry on Earth presented Himsefl as the Messiah to Israel and offered His promised Kingdom to His people. While many rejected His Kingdom by rejecting the King, some believed and have entered that Kingdom. Jesus instructions for those following Him are universal; we deny ourselves, however we have previously defined ourselves, and we submit to His authority. He is, after all, the King of His Kingdom. We often listen to the voices of our generation; we would do well to greater attention to the things Jesus has taught. He is the Eternal King, after all. Jesus doesn't gaurantee things will go the way we want; He promsises we will be recieved into an everlasting Kingdom. This is a great hope since, no matter what else happens, we are all dying. Mark 2020-2021
Jonathan Albanese • Refuge TLH • Sermon • • 37 views • 1:00:21
As Christians, we live our lives by faith. We live by believing God and learning to trust Him. As weak humans, our faith can waiver, and following together with Jesus, we may find ourselves at times in spiritual highs and at other times in spiritual lows. In the midst of this, Jesus remains faithful. He remains steadfast, immovable, sure. He obeys the Father and He becomes for us the place where we find rest and refuge. We hope you'll begin to trust Him, too. There is no one like our God! Shared by Jonathan Albanese at Refuge Christian Fellowship Tallahassee on Sunday, March 1, 2020.

Introduction How many of you have been in a situation where you deserved to be punished? This is a near daily occurrence for us. We get in our car and we go 56mph in a 55mph zone - we deserve a speeding ticket. The Bible shares with us that we break God’s law and we do this on a daily basis as well.…

Introduction In our lives as humans, there are some people that we encounter who are simply difficult to love. For some this is a rival classmate or a co-worker, for others its someone who is full of themselves, for others its someone who supports a different team or country than we do. We all have people…

Introduction Last week we were introduced to Jonah - the prophet whom God called to go to Nineveh and tell the people to repent. As we examined last week, Jonah not only refused to go north to Nineveh, but rather he fled southwest towards Joppa and eventually he planned to reach Tarshish. Jonah quickly…

Introduction There are multiple miracles in Scripture that have to do with fishing. I love to fish. Every time I do, I think of the stories in God’s Word that are about fishing. The Greek word for fish is ichthus. We learn that the symbol of the fish would later become a symbol of Christianity. The symbol…

Have you ever been in a waiting room? If not consider yourself blessed. The waiting room is a place where nothing really happens. The waiting room is of course and even redundant sounding, a place to wait. It is a place where you have to sit and watch the clock until whatever you are waiting for is run…

Twice in Jesus’ ministry, he fed a great crowd with only a few loaves of bread. In Mark chapter 6, Jesus fed five-thousand with five loaves and two fish. Here in chapter 8, Jesus feeds another great crowd of four-thousand men, plus women and children, with seven loaves and a few fish. The miracles appear…

A Certain Place Certain items that we buy come from certain places. As a child I remember grocery shopping with my mother and it was truly an all day affair. Easter 3C: Uses RCL lectionary texts. Gives fresh meaning to Christ's call to "follow me," and connects this with both the mission of the Church in everyday life and the Eucharistic celebration. Meant as a 10-minute Eucharistic sermon.
