We live in a pluralistic society. Obviously. Why then do we as a culture set aside weeks, if not months preparing for a distinctively Christian holiday, celebrating the birth of the Jewish Messiah? Gabriel told Zechariah, "Your barren wife will have a son and you shall call his name John"-"God is gracious." Indeed, God was gracious to this couple who were way past childbearing age. What would John be like? Did he have a special mission from God? After all the Lord was about to perform a miracle, much like he did with Sarah and Abraham thousands of years earlier. What was so special about this kid? Come with the Grace United crew as we explore the marvelous story of Zechariah, Elizbeth, and John, so named because God is gracious.

God is the only faithful Person in the universe. He is The promise maker. He is The promise keeper. If he makes a promise, we can take it to the bank. And the greatest promise he has ever made to us, sinful humans is eternal salvation. Come with the Grace United crew as we marvel, awestruck at the majesty and glory of our Great Promise maker and Promise Keeper, who has given us the promise of eternal life in Christ.
