After rescuing Israel from Egypt, God taught Moses and the people how to reflect his goodness. An important part of that was for the people to have God dwell in their midst, and so God explained how to build and use the Tabernacle, a portable temple. Luke explains how this worked, and how it applies even today, to 21st century Christians.
