In this sermon, Bryan Hart walks with the members of the Iroquois Valley Christian Church in Rensselaer Indiana through the ups and downs of the relationship between God and his Chosen People of the Exodus and the Promised Land. Being chosen by God did not mean that they were safe from making mistakes that even separated them from having access to the Promised Land and experiencing the fulfillment of his promises for themselves. However, even in the midst of the people's waywardness, God's grace and mercy shines through the Old Testament, which depicts how all of humanity desparately needs a savior found only through the person and work of Jesus.

The Old Testament is full of prophecies of the future. However, many of these prophecies are partially fulfilled in the time of the prophets wit ha deeper, grander and later fulfillment in the time of Jesus. The prophecy the Nathan made to King David in response to David's intention to make a temple for the Lord God is a great example of this, which is explored in this sermon.

In this second message in the Shepherd's Psalm series, Bryan Hart describes the provision that shepherds provide their sheep, and what God promises concerning the kinds of provision he offers us in this life full of trails and suffering.

We explore the impact and best approach to parables focusing on how important it is for the believer in Jesus to want to learn more.
