Success is a nice word, isn’t it? It’s that sense of achievement and recognition – a pat on the back, a gold star, a “well done” and a smiley face – “Congratulations, you did it!” But how do we actually define success? And aren’t we often so preoccupied with the road and the secret to success, that we forget to stop and think about what we’re trying to succeed at? See, when we really think about how we want to succeed – at life, generally speaking – we realise that it’s actually someone else who achieves it for us. Jesus is our success and he completely redefines what it means to succeed in this life.

God gave us the Spirit within to prepare and purpose us for the spiritual battles leading up to His 2nd advent…these last days. Pastor shares five ways God equips us in order to stand firm in these last day battles.

When life is in danger because of a fire, we tend to look to the Fire Department. When a boat is lost at sea sinking, we tend to look to the Coast Guard. There are so many forces on earth that we look to for the rescue and preservation of our life, our property and our freedom that we can easily forget the one force that we can’t call up on the telephone, write a letter to, or tweet @. Complaining about our problems is OK. Grievances should be voiced. But don’t forget to look UP and remember the one who has brought you this far and is looking forward to you letting Him, bring you further.

There was an article or short news story about the physiology of children and part of that story focused on playground behavior at a school with a very large open field for the children to play in. The kids would play close to the school building though never being told how far they could or could not go. One year a chain link fence was erected around the property. Then the children would run and play all the way to the fence line, again, without being told how far they could go. Though bound by a chain link fence, they had the freedom to do whatever they wanted within those bounds and felt freer for it. I hope you read this before hearing this message.

Is your storehouse overflowing? Do you find it hard to find the time to do the new things God puts on your heart to do? In order to store more, shelter more, share more and receive more, you must make room for what you want or expect to come. You must make room not only in your home, church, business or other physical places to store supplies and/or host people; you need room in your calendar, your expectations and your heart for faith in God’s provision and the ability to receive it.

For anyone to claim that the church doesn't have problems with sin have been living under a rock for 2000 years. It is true to a certain extent, that all sin is alike to God. But incest with their "father's wife"? Back in "the day" this was looked on as unthinkable, even among those living in the culture known for rampant sexual immorality. How to handle it? And how are Christians supposed to handle sin in non-Christian culture anyway?
