Jesus' fourth challenge is an invitation to be disciple-makers. Disciple-makers are spiritual parents, friends of God, and they face unique spiritual attacks.

Jesus’ allegory of the vine and the branches brings our relationship with Him into sharp focus.  How do His disciples survive and thrive in the world today?  How do we keep fellowship with God?  Remaining in Christ ensures our health and vitality as Christians, just as a good branch remains attached to the vine and produces fruit.  Without remaining in the vine, “we can do nothing.”  We look at what it means to remain in Christ.  It should come as no surprise that remaining involves a quiet time, spending time in the Word, meditation and prayer.

Is Jesus THE true vine? If so, what does that mean for my life? In this message, we continue to grapple some big claims that Jesus makes about himself in the Gospel of John.

Knowing Jesus and abiding in Him will bear fruit in the life of a believer that will bring glory to God the Father.

To abide in Jesus means that we commit to a long-term, intimate, continuing relationship with Jesus. We need to be reading the Bible, praying, listening and surrendering to Jesus. But most important of all is to love Jesus with all that we have as we abide in Him.
