Amos 1, 2 The message given by Amos 2,770 years ago is very applicable today. We need to walk the narrow path and keep our eyes on Jesus. The alternative is God's wrath.

Jesus is asked 'When will the Kingdom of God come?". He teaches us about the time he will come back to earth to judge all people - and how that knowledge of the future should impact the way we live today. Luke 17:20-37

Jesus tells a parable which shows the Jewish leaders and people that they have been warned repeatedly and are ignoring the warnings - so judgement will come. Jesus knows they will kill him - the parable makes this clear. They know Jesus is speaking against them - that's explicit. But still they ignore the warning - like Israel has done again and again through their long history. But Israel is just a smaller pictuire of humanity at large: tasked by God to look after his garden and rule over his world, we've filled it with brokeness rather than beauty. A time of judgement will come if we keep ignorning creation's owner - will you heed the warning? Will you change?

Ezekiel 4:1-17 The Lord used Ezekial (Son of Man) to create a visual of the judgement to come. God's people still continued to sin and turn away from God. God will not overlook sin and punishment was coming. Just as it is now, we must turn from sin and return in obedience to God.

1 Peter 4:12-19 Trials and suffering is part of our growth and commitment in Jesus Chirst. Are you ready? How will you react when the fiery trials come? Start now to deepen your walk with the Lord.

1 John1:5-2:2 We have been forgiven through Jesus Christ. That does not give permission to sin. We are to strive for perfection. We are to confess our sins and to work hard to be better using Jesus as an example of holiness and righteousness. God's forgiveness is free, it was bought with Christ's blood, and is forever available!

Evaluating our lives in light of the character and magnitude of the God we serve.

James 2:1-13 We should show no partitality. We are to love our neighbors regardless of outward apearance, race, social status etc. We are ALL guilty . Just as Jesus was merciful to you so we too should be merciful to others. Live on the rock; rely daily on Jesus.

Isaiah 1 Isaiah points out to Judah their wrong and sinful ways. Sins that are still going on today. Isaiah speaks of the need of true repentance and getting right with God. If not, tomorrow you may stand before Him as judge. Are you prepared to meet your God?

John 12:37-50 People are drawn by God to beleive in Jesus but does not force them. We choose to walk with him in faith or turn away. If we reject him, we pass judgement on ourself. Will you accept his inivation?
