The kingdom of God. How do you get in? Are there things that keep you out? This message, we unpack Jesus' teaching about the Narrow Gate, the wolf in sheep's clothing, and those followers that Jesus never knew.
You Shall have no other gods besides me. Today's message comes from a heart who loves the country I live in. I love all of the people I have met and have the opportunity to meet. I weep over the division and violence in our nation. There are evil forces that stand in opposition to God and his Son Jesus…
I want to ask you a question for you to answer in your own heart. Why is God worthy of worship? Why do you worship Him? The reason I ask that question is because as I have dug into the Revelation, I have constantly been reminded of the back and forth between John’s vision of the future judgments on earth…

Profiles in Preparation: The People Who Bring Hope
The wisest pastor I’ve ever known once said that every Christian should take Communion at least two times a year: Christmas and Easter. I’ve always thought there was a lot of wisdom in that idea. We’re often too busy to really meditate on the mystery that is the Christian Faith, the paradox of the God…
Experts say that the most important thing in life is to know what you believe and what you want to die for. In other words, a purpose driven life is a meaningful life and a happy life. However, not every purpose is a good one, or a good enough one. The terrorists are purpose driven too. They know what they want to die for, but we all know that they die for a terribly wrong purpose. Let's look at what Jesus taught us about what we must die for.
The Gospel of Luke
"The King is coming" is the urgent message for the world - but the king comes offering peace; while the movement announcing his coming begins with only a few, many will respond as it multiplies. Those who reject it have been warned - they are rejecting God himself. Rejoice: Jesus reveals God and offers peace with him to the weak not the wise.
Christians are often compared to butterflies, transformed from the state of caterpillars. However, can butterflies regress to caterpillars? Can Christians regress to the idolatry of worldly politics and ideologies? If we are not good stewards of the kingdom, we may regress, just as the chief priests and Pharisees did. On this Christ the King Sunday, we look at a scene of Jesus' trial from the dimension of stewardship. Enjoy!
On the surface, the man in the parable was very blessed because his land produced abundantly. Most people would say that he had made good. What a great blessing. However, it had rather turned out to be a curse because of the way he handled it. Let's look at how Jesus taught us to avoid the idolatry of life.
