Theme: Peter meets Cornelius. Just like Peter and Cornelius, God calls us to surrender our own prejudices and traditions which keep us isolated from other people who are different than us. He wants to make one family and one people for his name from all nations in the world. When we come to Jesus we come into a new culture, the Christ culture.

Theme: Understanding the visions of Peter and Cornelius. In this passage God chose an italian man to represent all gentiles, to be converted for God’s glory. Cornelius and Peter surrendered their traditions, their culture and they became the one new man, Jew and gentile. They received the gospel truth and they were invited to the God’s welcome party. The Gospel is God’s welcome celebration for all people.
