Even thpugh Saul is dead, David is still surrounded by bloodshed as he struggles to claim the throne over all of Israel. He tries to present a presence of peace. How difficult is it for us today to be people of peace when we are surrounded by conflict? Are we too influenced by our surroundings to determine if we can "keep our peace"?

Critical thinking and negativity can make us our own worse enemy. Most of us battle voices in our head telling us how horrible or worthless we are. How do we battle these voices?
