Pr 31:28-31. Tony van Drimmelen. We read about the woman of Proverbs 31 and we wonder: Is there anything she cannot do? She inspires and intimidates. She is God’s ideal held out to us in the order of creation. But no woman in our broken world can attain this and neither is it expected that she would. Nevertheless family members should give praise whenever the virtues listed in the text describe their own mother. They are an indication that such a woman relies on the grace of God at work in her life. Her husband is called to praise her because she fears the Lord.
