While the practice of reasoning with others as a centerpiece of ministry seems surprising, it was consistently at the center of the ministry of Paul and the early church. This was not because they loved to argue, but because they were both explaining and defending all of the truths upon which the gospel is dependent. This should be the ongoing pursuit of the church both in evangelism and discipleship.
