Introduction It is one thing to make promises and an entirely other thing to keep them. Promises may get people to support you and trust you but if you dont keep the promises you lose the trust and no one believes anything you say any more. We are finishing the book of Amos this morning and we have seen…

Introduction What does revival mean to you? For many of us, especially those from a pentecostal / Charismatic background, we think of special services where there is powerful preaching, singing, and calls to repent and believe the gospel. Permit me to posit another definition: Biblical revival is when…

Introduction Because you never know when the day before is the day before… prepare for tomorrow. Bobby Akart. The future being unknown we plan and prepare because to fail to plan is to plan to fail. We spend time money and effort to plan for things we postulate could most likely happen. How differently…

Introduction How could Hosea’s unfaithful wife Gomer ever question her husbands love? He continuously demonstrated it by seeking her out, pleading her to come home, and even paying the price to purchase her back. How could Israel ever question God’s love? How could they persistently refuse to respond…

Our promises are usually made with the best of intentions - we make promises to do something or to not do something, to be somewhere…

One of the most encouraging words that any child can hear, and one of the most encouraging works I heard growing up, and what every child needs to hear is that “you can be whatever you wan’t if you put your mind to it.” (Elaborate) The work is not simply church attendance. The work is not Bible study…

Psalm
Nathan Sehi • Sermon • • 10 views
Psalm 14 is a Parallel of Psalm 53; which is a poetic description of Isaiah 53. Psalm 14 looks ahead to the coming of Christ (v. 7) after giving a dismal account of God’s search for the righteous. All have humanity is searched and God finds that all are practical atheists who have forsaken righteousness, the wisdom of God, and God himself. They seek to foolishly oppose God and His people. Yet, v. 7 look forward to the day when Christ will deliver Israel (and the nations) and restore Israel’s fortune (which blesses the nations). As NT believers, we ought to rejoice at Christmas because we know that deliverance and restoration.

Who are the two witnesses described in Revelation 11? Will Israel be restored in the last days? The early Church was fueled by reading of the Word, prayer, and fellowship. The Holy Spirit still moves through supernatural works, though these works lead to false idol worship without the knowledge of God! We must first know Him. And He must be the goal of our existence, at any cost!

This passage in Revelation links back to the Old Testament. A strong case can be made that that in the end times, Israel, after a long period of rejecting the Messiah, will be restored. At that time there will still be hard-hearted doubters, but just the same, God gives us as believers a hardness/strength in our belief. We are to be faithful and preach God's Word giving no thought to rejection, leaving the outcome to Him!
