Jesus commands all people everywhere to repent and to believe Him. We lay our trust in Him as the offering for our sins, as the One who died, was buried, and is alive again forever. God gives the gift of repentance that we might change our minds and turn from sin to the Living God. We are able to be free from traditions which teach us to value the tradition itself over the welfare of others. We understand that while the Kingdom of God began very small, it grows. We also understand that there are few who will be saved. Many will not turn aside to walk the narrow way which leads to life. Jesus laments over those who continue in rebellion to Him. Shared by Jason Stuart Percy on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Refuge Christian Fellowship in Tallahasee, FL.

God Uses Small Things Text: Zechariah 4:6–10 (KJV 1900) 6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, Saith the Lord of hosts. 7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain:…

Introduction Greetings… Congregations come in all shapes and sizes. Some are large, numbering in the thousands, even tens of thousands such as the church in Antioch of Syria or Jerusalem. Some are small, with as few as a handful in a home, possibly like the church in Philadelphia. The definition of “congregational…

I was not raised in McMinnville as many of you know. I was born and raised in a town that was small when I was a child but is growing bigger each year. Every time I go back home, I see evidence of my small hometown. I also see things that are new and remind me more of a big city than I would like to…

By Pastor Glenn Pease The story is told of a man who had lived all his life on one of the small islands of the South Pacific until he came to visit America. He crossed the continent by train, and spent days watching the landscape. When the train crossed the Mississippi River, and he was told how much…

By Pastor Glenn Pease God loves to get His will done in this world by means of little things, little places, and little people. You and I are conditioned to look for big things like New York, London, or Paris, but God with His infinite sense of humor often has His eye on hick towns like Bethlehem or…

By Pastor Glenn Pease If you think Psalm 117 is a short chapter, you are right, for it is the shortest in all the Bible. But it is twice as long in English as it is in the original Hebrew. It is 33 words in English, but only 17 in the Hebrew. And it is another of the many paradoxes of the Bible, for…

By Pastor Glenn Pease Even if we do not have a head for numbers there are certain numbers that have become a part of our culture and we recognize them. The number 57 by itself is meaningless, but in 1896 Henry Heinz saw an add in New York for 21 varieties of shoes, and he decided to choose a number for…

By Pastor Glenn Pease On April 18, 1906 San Francisco went through the worst catastrophe of California history. An earthquake devastated the city, and a fire broke out that left that once thriving metropolis a heap of smoldering ruins. The cost in lives and property was beyond calculation. Yet, in the…

By Pastor Glenn Pease It is hard to believe, but one man determined how we as Americans pronounce and spell words. When we began as a new and independent nation, Noah Webster thought is was only right that we stop be a copy of the English, and develop our own original ways of spelling words. Andrew Jackson…

By Pastor Glenn Pease The world is full of interesting stories about numbers. For example, why does the President get a 21 gun salute. It all began in 1776 when Francis Hopkinson, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, noticed that if you add up the numbers in 1776 they come to 21. He…

By Pastor Glenn Pease Mountains have made men marvel at the majesty of God's creation all through history. Man needs the mountains, for the heights are in his head and heart. Mountains awaken in man the instinct for heaven. He knows when he looks at the mountains that he was made for a high and lofty…

BY PASTOR GLENN PEASE Off the coast of the Italian Riviera a large bronze statue of Christ has been installed down in the depths of the sea as a symbol that Christ is Lord of the deep.
