The Church at Work
Aaron Bauer • Issaquah Christian Church • Sermon • • 26 views • 38:58
Work is a Sacred Struggle. It’s a struggle because work was cursed but work itself isn’t a curse, it’s a gift from God and our gift to others. The curse came because humans wanted to be like God, to be the center and source of order. There is no room in that sacred space (Eden) for two sources of wisdom and order, but through Jesus God has made his dwelling in his new sacred space (the church). He made us sacred by cleansing our impurity with his sacrifice.

And the Bible does not identify you as a lord or lady, a prince or princess being pampered in a castle.…

However, we have learned that it should more accurately called the Disciples’ Prayer or the Model Prayer. No matter what we call it, we know that it serves as potent and effective guide given by our Lord to follow when we enter God’s presence for prayer. Tune In!
