Psalm 17 has a close relationship to Psalm 16 in content and focus. However, Psalm 17 has an urgent plea for protection (Ps 17:1, 6-9). Psalm 17 describes the relationship between satisfaction and personal choices of sin and righteousness. For David, God protects him because he is satisfied with God himself (Ps 17:15). In Contrast, the wicked do not have such refuge because they are content with the things (material possessions and children) of this World. Psalm 17 gives us a strong call make God your satisfaction.

In this sermon, Pastor Philip explains the significance of Jesus' work for us, and how He calls us to live as a free people, standing firm in faith and resisting the old mastery of our sin.
