Palm Sunday commemorates the provision of God from within exile and the joy it inspires. A holiness that energizes a grateful response of -wait for it- joy. Imagine that. The events surrounding that first “palm sunday” was gratitude-inspired joy birthed from within the pain of exile. Palpable real world excitement around the fact that “resurrection” is a reality in the exile-ridden reality of the real world.
