Through the psalm he addresses the issue of wealth and through it we see that how we view eternity will impact how we handle money. Having the right view of eternity will kill the love of money in our lives, but so many followers of Christ fall short of this perspective.
Through the narrative of God orchestrating the child Jesus's escape from the power thirsty Herod and later from his son, three prophecies are shown to be fulfilled that we may believe that Jesus is the promised Messiah, and trust our faithful God.

Prayer is a necessity for a healthy Christian! This portion of Ezra displays the importance and the nature of prayer. Though, Ezra was a skilled man he did not trust in his own abilities, rather he puts his faith in the Almighty God. May we humbly realize the desperate need to do the same.
How do you respond to sin - not in others, but your own sin? Do you deny it, ignore it, belittle it or confess it? Here we have a wonderful promise for all those who genuinely confess their sin to out Triune God.
