In the final installment of a sermon series coveiring the mindsets of Philippians 4, we focus upon Paul's instruction to not only know the right mindsets....but to PUT THEM INTO PRACTICE.

In this 2nd lesson in a series on the mindsets of Philippians 4, we explore focusing our thoughts and lives on things that are excellent, commendable and noble. In troubling times, it is all the more necessary to have spiritual mindsets to keep us on right paths. Joseph, David and Jesus are used as Biblical examples.

Looking at Pauls teaching in Eph. 4:17-24 in conjunction with his etter to the Romans

Ever daydream about suddenly becoming rich? How that would change your mindset and life? Does knowing that heaven is our inheritance enamor us in the same way? Why not? This lesson about spritual mindsets focuses on "Whatever is pure...think about such things."

Forget the past, press on toward the goal. How we think will have a dramatic impact on our life. If we want to win at life and cross that finish line here is how we should think: Thinking that leads to winning: I must... 1. Be humble about reality 2. Forget the past 3. Keep focused on the finish

We get kind of a laundry list of things from Paul as we come near the end of the letter. In almost bullet point fashion he reminds us of several things of what living on mission will look like. 1) Rejoice always, 2) be reasonable, 3) don't be anxious, 4) think about good things, and 5) follow God's truth and he will be with you.

Someone has said that the greatest addiction our society faces is the addiction to anxiety. We talked about overcoming Anxiety in our last study in Philippians. The more we know of Him the more we want o become like Him...the more we become like Him the more we struggle with becoming like Him.
