In these areas we are to give deference to other Christians to obey their conscience and receive, that is, lovingly welcome such Christians. While doing this we must beware of the pitfalls or ride we may fall into whether we be weak or strong in conscience.

As Paul closes his thoughts on our freedom in Christ he calls us to put the needs of others before our own desires. We must live with our focus on spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In today’s passage the author goes into some detail concerning the sacrificial system to reveal it is imperfect and temporary. It can’t purify our conscience and will not remove our guilt.
