Expansion of God's Mission - Acts 12:19-13:12

The opening of Luke's Gospel records the reaction of two people to incredible news. Their reactions couldn't be more different: the one whose news is more positive doubts, yet the one whose news is more threatening rejoices. As Christians, we live our lives by faith. We live by believing God and learning to trust Him. As weak humans, our faith can waiver, and following together with Jesus, we may find ourselves at times in spiritual highs and at other times in spiritual lows. In the midst of this, Jesus remains faithful. He remains steadfast, immovable, sure. He obeys the Father and He becomes for us the place where we find rest and refuge.
