In the great banquet each invited guest at the second invitation ignores the interests of the host and instead focuses on his own interests. As Christians we're told in Scripture that we have been given the mind of Christ... but it also tells us that we must renew our new mind every day in God's Word. Our minds are the battleground upon which our old nature & new nature wage war against one another. This war intensifies when we suffer. In 1 Peter 4:1-5 we're given 4 ways to test & examine our mindset... & called upon to arm ourselves with the THINKING of the suffering, righteous, & holy Son of God until He returns in final judgment.
