In this message, we look at the reality that because Christians are bound to Jesus Christ, they are no longer bound by the Law. But that doesn't mean that sin should abound - by no means!

There are those who are slaves to sin and there are those who are slaves to Righteousness. One produces bad fruit, while the other produces good fruit. Have you ever stopped to analyze yourself to see what kind of fruit you are producing? To whom do you belong?

When we place white letters on a black background there is a contrast that takes place which is clearly evident. As is the case when we contrast the fallen nature of Adam, the first man, with the redemption and reconciliation purchased through Jesus Christ, the second man and last Adam.

Christians often struggle with the tension of being dead to sin and the failure of being sinless in their lives. Though we will sin while on our pilgrimage, the more we understand our union with God through the finished work of Jesus Christ, the less appealing sin will become as we become more and more conformed to His image.

The doctrine of justification through faith is a source of unspeakable joy. What better example than to look at Abraham? Who trusted the covenant promise of God which was passed down and celebrated throughout Israel. The same promise that is celebrated by the modern-day Church today. In both eras, looking toward Jesus Christ, the source of our redemption.

The better we understand the reality of our union with Jesus Christ, the better we understand that sin has been put to death in us. We rest in the truth that we indeed have newness in life.

If we ever need evidence of God's love toward us, we need only to look to Calvary to see the greatest expression of love imaginable. Jesus Christ in full obedience, to the praise and glory of the Father, paid in full our debt so that we may have reconciliation with God.

There is a big difference between having the peace of God and being at peace with God. Both are important, but one will forever change the Christian's mind about the concept of suffering.

There is a big difference between setting one's mind on the flesh and the Spirit. One brings decay and death, while the other brings peace and life. Why is it that so many professing Christians choose to fulfill their flesh when they are told to set their minds on the things of the Spirit?

Doctrine most certainly divides. It separates truth from falsehood and unites the Church by providing a strong foundation driven by Holy Scripture. In this part two message, we take a look at five points regarding God's providence that are derived from Romans 8:29-30 that provide an important foundation of understanding as we head into Romans chapter 9.

Many are okay with God being Who He is according to their standard, but they don't want God to be Who He is according to His standard. God's attribute of His sovereignty is revealed through Scripture and although it is easy to understand, it is sometimes hard to swallow.
