Our society is constantly bombarding us with messages on how we are to be perfect. And if you do not match up to those messages or actually make a mistake, shame and guilt can rush in. This sets us up to judge others according to these social rules in order to build up our own image. There are people today who feel like the church is not a safe place for them, especially if their secrets were known. What kind of church do we want to be? How can we be real with ourselves as well as real with others? What are we willing to do to be the church for the broken? If we are honest with ourselves, we are all broken people. Listen for what Jesus says about those who are broken beyond repair in the eyes of others...

In this powerful message, we're reminded that Jesus still conquers storms in our lives. The story of Jesus calming the storm on the Sea of Galilee (Mark 4:35-40) teaches us that even when we face seemingly insurmountable challenges, we have greater reasons to trust Christ than to fear. Just as Jesus slept peacefully during the storm, we too can find tranquility in the midst of chaos by keeping our confidence in Him.
