A faith response to Jesus will be misunderstood by those who are far from Christ. Don't worry about what othrs will think of you...What matters most is what Christ thinks of you.

Don't Ask for, Forgiveness - Pastor Sven Frantzen 2023-07-15
Theme Text: 1 John 1:8–9
Can we be sinless? If so, how do we do this. Pastor Sven takes you through a thorough study of sin, its penalty, and its remedy. So often we try to minimize and deny sin exists, but only as we accept sin, and confess it, can we truly be free from sin. So many just ask for a “blanket” forgiveness. God encourages us to confess our sins, acknowledge sin in our lives, and then lay it all on our Savior Jesus Christ that cleanses us from ALL unrighteousness.

In this sermon, pastor John takes us back to the Hebrew Psalter to learn what it means to live a life of blessing before God. If the Christian is not careful, we can easily slip into a lifestyle that reflects rebellion, wickedness and scorn for God. Yet, the Bible reminds us that God knows all things and observes what we do, not only what we say we do. So, are we living a life of blessing before God, or, are we living a life of cursing and rebellion that seeks to live for the temporary, and not for eternity?

How we view ourselves, in spiritual matters, in righteousness and religion, has a direct impact on the way w e think about and manage our relationships with others. In the way of Jesus' Kingdom, we are taught to view outselves in a true state of humility and thus to esteem others better than ourselves. We are taught in the Way not to pursue things out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. In esteeming others abovee ourselves, we ought not fail to esteem and value infants, chidlren. What a joy to serve them! Jesus reminds us that we are to be a continually praying people as we have a delighted, continual fellowship with the Sovereign God of the Universe. Jesus still has compassion on regular people. In a world that esteem the rich and powerful, let us be those who serve and bless no matter the social standing of the recipient of that service. These thoughts shared by Jason Stuart Percy at Refuge TLH in Tallahassee, FL on Sunday, September 19, 2021.

God isn’t interested in blaming or shaming to change our behaviour. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit reached out to humanity in loving sacrifice, “once for all,” so that we could be transformed by love and then extend that transforming love to one another.

Introduction: God created man to bless him beyond all imagination. But man turned away from God and rejected Him. What was God to do? Was He to let His purpose for man be defeated? This was impossible—for He is God, and God’s purposes can never be thwarted. Therefore, God did exactly what He had told…
