We can trust God with our deepest woes.

Sometimes God says Yes. We love that. But sometimes He sasy NO. We should learn to truth the Lord even when He says No. We never know how God might work through His Nos!

Matthew 6:25-34 God provides for us. We need to store up treasure in heaven through righteousness, and trust in God in our lives.

God can do a great work through His power manifested in our relationships to create, mantain, restore each one and create unity though the common bond of Grace.

If past faithfulness is any indication of future trustworthiness, believers do well reflect on the track record of their God. Through this often overlooked text, this sermon serves as a corrective and support to our sometimes waning confidence in the Lord.

The warfare between the houses of David and Saul was needless and predictable for people fighing over power. It was trying to attain things by might over fully trusting God's plan for the nation. We can do the same in our lives today. Are we simply rolling with the status quo, saying "That's just the way things are"? Or....are we going to trust God's plans for our lives and leave the garbage of worldliness behind?

When one thinks one is standing firm be careful lest you fall. In this sermon I am going to review Paul's agument that like the children of Israel who fell from grace we too can fall and be suject to punishment.

Solomon tells us we should enjoy the gifts of God while they last, and rely on Him to provide. Only He can save us, and we must in all things resist the temptation to wrestle control from Him. His gift of salvation is free, and our response is to thank Him and enjoy Him!

Sometimes we do not know how we are going to have our needs met, but God will always supply.

Someday, we will find ourselves in a storm just as serious as Paul faced here, but we can look into the Word of God and find out what to do: 1. Try to miss the storms. 2. Try to manage the storms. 3. Trust God to take us through the storms.

If we love Jesus... 1. We will let Him provide us with His peace (vs. 27). 2. We will rejoice in His return (vs. 28). 3. We will keep counting on Christ (vs. 29-31). 4. We will follow His footsteps (vs. 31).

What should we do in troubled times? 1. Ask for God’s assistance (vs. 1,9). 2. Talk about your trust in God (vs. 3, 4, 11). 3. Be educated about our enemies (vs. 1-2; 5-7). 4. Remember that God remembers us (vs. 8). 5. Pour out your praise to the Lord (vs. 4; 10-13).

Here's what to do in the storms: 1. Reemphasize your relationship with the Lord (vs. 20-25). 2. Be persistent in your prayers (vs. 27-29). 3. Pursue God's plan for your life (vs. 30-32). 4. Make an effort to encourage other people (vs. 21-25; 33-38). 5. Rely on God's ability to rescue you (vs. 39-44).

1. Jesus wants to be our constant companion (vs. 1-2). 2. Jesus wants to be our finest friend (vs. 2). 3. Jesus wants us to be confident in His care (vs. 3-4). 4. Jesus wants us to point other people to Him (vs. 3-5). 5. Jesus wants us to follow Him to the fullest (vs. 6-10).

Obey Jesus: 1. By praying to the Lord (vs. 1). 2. By giving for the Lord (vs. 2-15). 3. By trusting in the Lord (vs. 16). 4. By telling people about the Lord (vs. 12-15;17-26).

When we start trusting our selves in problems instead of God we can end up making things worse by going outside God's will to fix our situation.
