Jesus never claimed priestly authority during His earthly ministry. Still, He fulfilled the divine function of a priest. The writer of Hebrews assumes his audience is familiar with Tabernacle/Temple and Levitical priestly duties. In Hebrews, Jesus is identified as the Great High Priest superior to Israel's high priests. The close we consider JEsus' past, present and future ministries the more we appreciate Him and seek to do His will.

Our wwkly privilege of worship is enhanced today as we celebrate Jesus' resurrection. Though we remind ourselves regularly of this most significant of events, the annual celebration is always special. Today we connect the Lord's rising from the dead with His life-giving promise of our resurrection. Rejoice with us.

Those who claim the resurrection of Jesus is myth, legend or a lie, seem to lack a comprehensive grasp of its central place in God's plan. LEt's think through the Scriptures more broadly to see convincing arguments for Jesus' resurrection and YOURS!

The tradittion concept of progress assumes that the movement takes us forward in a positive direction. That assumption proves to be worfully incorrect when the current 'Progressive Movement' is concerned. We're not talking politics but basic fact and fiction, Biblical truth verses and delusion and cultural destruction!

Progressives berate their opponents, Conservatives and Christians with the denigrating and condescending rebuke, "Follow the Science". Exactly what do they mean and how do their beliefs blatantly contradict that very critisism. Even worse, how do their policies rise in denial of God's word and will for mankind? When confronted with threats or pressure the most natural thing we do is REACT. This can and often leads to mistakes and regrets.
