Jesus' reason for going through Samaria was greater than just a shorter trip to Galilee. He initiated a conversation that led to the conversion of a world-ravaged soul. Then many of her townspeople came to Jesus and believed. In the midst of this the Lord teaches lessons that His disciples will carryt through the rest of their lives and ministries. These lessons are for us as well.
