When I do something terrible to my wife, I can't just relate to her as if nothing has happened. I need to follow a process to restore my relationship with her. The same is true with God, who we have offended terribly by our destructive rebellion against his good creation. The difference is that God is perfect and all-powerful. Fortunately God loves us, and he's made it easy for us to approach him--but we still need to do it his way. Listen and find out how.

Josh Weiland • Wawasee Bible • Sermon • • 23 views • 18:34
On Good Friday Jesus atones for our sin on the cross so that we could be made right with God. Jesus’ work on the cross is the only acceptable way we can enter God’s presence and be saved. In the Old Testament there is an anual event where God commanded his people to make atonement for their sin, giving instructions for the only way to enter God’s presence. This day is known as the Day of Atonement and the instructions for it are found in Leviticus 16. — The Day of Atonement forshadowed Good Friday. Everything that happened on the Day of Atonement pointed forward to Jesus and was fulfilled completely by his work on the cross.

What does Christmas have to do with a religious priesthood? A LOT if we talk about who Jesus is! Perhaps a more basic question is how can Jesus be a priest in the first place? He was not from the tribe of Levi, the tribe appointed by the Lord to be priests. But it was, and is essential, to our salvation, that Jesus be High Priest. How so? Come with the Grace United crew as we discover the connection between eternal salvation and Christ, the Newborn King AND the Great High Priest.

The Urgency of Life As we read Vayirka (Leviticus) 16, I believe there are 4 major elements that need to happen for a successful Yom Kippur. Anyone want to give a stab as to what those might be? An acceptable High Priest. Acceptable offerings. A humble people. A God who accepts the offering and offerer.…
