Joel

The word of the Lord that came to the prophet Joel was given to a people in crisis. Israel had just experienced a once-in-a-lifetime plague of locusts that devastated the land and threatened their way of life. What does the Lord require? That His people call to Him, return to Him and learn to rely on Him. What does the Lord promise? To send His Spirit and give His people a glorious eternal future. Whether plague or pandemic, these requirements and promises remain true.
