One of the calls of Scripture in our life is to lament. It can be tempting to avoid lament, yet pain, grief and loss will inevitably find us. When they do, biblical lament becomes the way to deal with them appropriately. Lamentations shows us the prophet Jeremiah's heartfelt grief at the destruction of Jerusalem and the exile of God's people. It also reveals his complete trust in God. Let us join Jeremiah in the middle of our lament and proclaim to the Lord, "Great is Your Faithfulness!"
