Nearly all the exegetes interpret the two iron legs of the statue, that Nebuchadnezzar dreamed of, as West- and East-Rome. But that doesn’t conform to the text. The exegesis, made in this elaboration here deviates intentionally from this and outlays the two legs as the Seleucids and the Ptolemies, and the 10 toes as the Decapolis.
