When it comes to our thoughts on life after death, we often settle for caricatures. In heaven we inherit angel wings, halos with a white robe and fill our time sitting on clouds playing a harp and eating Philadelphia cream cheese. Hell is portrayed as a fiery inferno run by a devil with horns and a pitchfork, taking glee in the misery of those stuck there. While these pictures may seem ridiculous, we all have some misunderstandings of the afterlife. But what if we can do better than caricatures?
