Theme: Because God’s promises to us are so precious we must purify ourselves from every sin and pursue holiness.
II Corinthians 7:1; II Corinthians 6:14-18
Introduction: This past week I was reading in my daily time with the Lord in Exodus 26 wherein God describes just how He wants His place of worship amongst the Children of Israel organized and decorated. I was very impressed with the intricate detail and direction that God gave to Moses. I was also impressed with the New Testament idea of believers being modern day Temples for God. This lead me to the passage that we are going to discuss this morning. Now the passage does not deal solely with the idea of believers’ temple-ship but does reference it in an important way as a motivator a precious promise if you will for why we should purify ourselves from sin. I desire that we would learn today: Because God’s promises to us are so precious we must purify ourselves from every sin.
