1. Be Proactive “The Habit of Personal and corporate vision” “Habakkuk 2:1.I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower And will watch to see what he will say unto me,And what I shall answer †when I am reproved. 2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, That he may run that readeth it. You don’t have to have all the answers at once, but you do have to have an idea of the church’s culture and, climate.One thing there must be a clear path of leadership.

Establish the norm of heirachrcy. Pastor according to our culture this is what we do. Deacons according to the climate of the leadership this is what we do. Membership according to church polity and policies this is what we do as one body in Christ. Be consistent in your vision and in the implementations of goals and objectives. In other words do what you say you’re going to do according to the word of God and the culture and climate of the church community at Pilgrim Baptist Church. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. For instance: the pastor ought to be able to supply the pulpit with sound doctrine. The deacons ought to be able to prayer meaningful prayers that help the church the choir ought to be able to sing to the glory of God the ushers ought to be gatekeepers serving at the Lord’s doors etc… And we ought to take the time to write it all down to serve as a basic guide. So write the vision make it plain. Keep it simple enough for understanding but deep enough for wise counsel, and in everything acknowledge God so He can direct our paths rightly .

II Timothy 4:I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. 3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. 5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. And here’s one of the reasons why. Jeremiah 3:1515 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. The very day he takes the mantle is the very day that God starts to feed him properly for the people he’s been assigned to. I didn’t do nothing dirty to get this church and I am not going to do nothing dirty to keep. And here’s the thing don’t side with who is right but side with what is right? if I side with righteousness then I’m on the Lord side. If I side with man, man can turn and change his mind on what is right. But God’s word is always right. “Tell Bro Ed story”

Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on.
