“Transformation only takes place in the Presence of God”

If we are to truly change and live differently we must spend time in His Presence

Anyone can change their life, but only those who linger in His presence are transformed

Exodus 33:9-16 (NKJV) 9  And it came to pass, when Moses entered the tabernacle, that the pillar of cloud descended and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses. 10  All the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the tabernacle door, and all the people rose and worshiped, each man in his tent door. 11  So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. And he would return to the camp, but his servant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, did not depart from the tabernacle. 12  Then Moses said to the LORD, "See, You say to me, 'Bring up this people.' But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, 'I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.' 13  Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people." 14  And He said, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." 15  Then he said to Him, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. 16  For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth."

Abiding means to remain in Him

1 John 2:24 (NKJV) 24  Therefore let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father.

Let the Gospel message abide in you

Let the teachings abide in you

Let the Word of God abide in you

Stay with God and His Word

Don’t ever get over the fact that God has saved you through Jesus Christ the Lord

If you are not sure you saved than you need to make sure.

whoever desires to turn from their sins, turn from self, and turn to Christ—Come to Him and seek to be forgiven through His death, burial, and resurrection!

The Result of Abiding in His Word:

You remain with the Father and the Son

1 John 2:25 (NKJV) 25  And this is the promise that He has promised us--eternal life.

The Result of remaining with the Father and the Son?

Eternal Life

Deceivers will come!

1 John 2:26 (NKJV) 26  These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you.

What protects us from deception?

The Word of God

God says my people perish for a lack of knowledge

Be in the Word

Be believing the Word

Be studying the Word

Be doing the Word

Be sharing the Word

1 John 2:27 (NKJV) 27  But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.

1 John 2:28 (NKJV) 28  And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

Jesus is coming back!

Revelation 22:12-17 (NKJV) 12 "And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last." 14  Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15  But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie. 16 "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

Hebrews 9:28 (NKJV) 28  so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.

Philippians 3:20-21 (NKJV) 20  For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21  who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

Hebrews 12:2-8 (NKJV) 2  looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3  For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. 4  You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5  And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons: "My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives." 7  If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8  But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons.

Abide in Him because He will return

If you remain in Him you will:

Have confidence to face Him

You will not be ashamed

1 John 2:29 (NKJV) 29  If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.

Righteous Living is Proof text that you are saved (That you are a believer)
