Introduction.

The Prodigal was always a son, nothing he could do could make him less than a son.

When he came to himself he said “I remember what home was like”. I want to go home. What kind of a home would that be?

Here not long ago, they had some of these doctors that said, “Let the baby lay and cry.” You nurse it at a certain time: you don’t pick it up. If it cries, let it cry it out. They did that twenty-five years ago. That was a great belief amongst the doctors.

Come to find out, it hatched out a bunch of neurotics. Let nature have its way. God knows what’s best. That baby needs love. If you take love away from it, you’ll make a brute out of it. 91 percent of college men who said they had not enjoyed a close relationship with their mothers developed coronary artery disease, hypertension, duodenal ulcers, or alcoholism by the midlife years. Only 45 percent of the men who recalled maternal warmth and closeness had similar illnesses. The same was true of men and relationships with their fathers.

18 Was talking to a young lady just a few moment ago, that was suffering from a nervous condition, and the nervous condition. She said how she had tried to overcome it. Now, I’m not much of a Christian Science or a Unitarian. I don’t believe there’s anything like mind over matter. I believe God is a healer.

The lady was born in that nervous condition. Her mother and father died when she was a child, baby, and raised up, just tossed about everywhere, and never had the proper love and care that a baby has.
