What’s in the Name

Thanks for coming back
Thanks for helping honor my parents
They’re old news
Joel Reads:
Romans 5:17 NKJV
17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)
1. Honor
2. Carrying on the mission statement of Faith Center
“Reaching the world with the message of victory”
We want to just share a little bit of what we want to see in the future
We are already doing a lot of this stuff we just want to reiterate and make it clear moving foreword
Sarah Reads:
Habakkuk 2:2 NKJV
2 Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.
Simplify:
We Reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ
In order to understand the scripture we have to understand the context
Romans 5:14–19 NKJV
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.) 18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.
2 Choices here:
Disobedience to God’s word
2. Perfect Obedience
Through your choices, the way you talk, act, react, validate it affects the people around us
Adams disobedience brought death:
-even to the point of his own son committing murder
Jesus came along and changed everything
It was complete obedience
We want to be a church that represents a complete obedience to the word of God
Jesus is us reflects the word of God to the people around us and that is how we win the world
As I was Praying and Preparing for this
The story of Joseph came to mind
Pastor Glen talked about Generational thinking a lot
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
Jacobs son or Abrahams great grandson
Coat of many color
Genesis 41:25–31 NKJV
25 Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one; God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do: 26 The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads are seven years; the dreams are one. 27 And the seven thin and ugly cows which came up after them are seven years, and the seven empty heads blighted by the east wind are seven years of famine. 28 This is the thing which I have spoken to Pharaoh. God has shown Pharaoh what He is about to do. 29 Indeed seven years of great plenty will come throughout all the land of Egypt; 30 but after them seven years of famine will arise, and all the plenty will be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine will deplete the land. 31 So the plenty will not be known in the land because of the famine following, for it will be very severe.
Genesis 41:39 NKJV
39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Inasmuch as God has shown you all this, there is no one as discerning and wise as you.
1 Chronicles 12
Sons of Issachar who who had an understanding of the times, to know what Isreal ought to do
Genesis 41:55–57 NKJV
55 So when all the land of Egypt was famished, the people cried to Pharaoh for bread. Then Pharaoh said to all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph; whatever he says to you, do.” 56 The famine was over all the face of the earth, and Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold to the Egyptians. And the famine became severe in the land of Egypt. 57 So all countries came to Joseph in Egypt to buy grain, because the famine was severe in all lands.
Pastor Dave Ellis prophesied about families returning
Genesis 42:8 NKJV
8 So Joseph recognized his brothers, but they did not recognize him.
As a church we have to know what season we’re in
We have three areas of focus going foreword
These are things we’ve always been about as a church
We’re obedient to the Word of God and the Holy Spirit
Our number one priority as a church is to help you understand the word of God
God’s word is the most powerful and Transformational thing on the planet
It’s not meant to fix you
It’s meant to be transformational in our lives
If you have a negative reoccurring theme in your life
Has it been transformed?
That’s a process
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
We continue to stand on biblical truths without compromise
We are counter to the culture of the world
Matthew 5:13–16 NKJV
13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men. 14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
We’re committed to the Message, not the method
We are committed to listening and obeying the Holy Spirit
Romans 8:14 NKJV
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
2. We’re committed to the heart of God
The heart of God is for the lost
God’s priority is for the lost
Mark 16:16–18 NKJV
16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
We know God and we live to make His name known
Sarah Reads:
Luke 14:23 NKJV
23 Then the master said to the servant, ‘Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.
The highways and the Hedges
We’re going to be called to reach in places we’re not familiar with
3. Committed to the Body of Believers
1 Corinthians 12:12 NKJV
12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.
Committed as a church to making a disciples
Go into all the world and make disciples
Converts first then disciples
In vs 7 of 1 Cor. 12

Something God laid on my heart

Alter Call:
Romans 10:9–10 NKJV
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
In Acts 19 Paul talks about the Holy Spirit and the evidence of it
