8 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are in your midst deceive you, nor listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed. 9 For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the Lord.
10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”
20 Do not despise prophecies. 21 Test all things; hold fast what is good. 22 Abstain from every form of evil.
18 This charge I commit to you, son Timothy, according to the prophecies previously made concerning you, that by them you may wage the good warfare,

it’s easy to want to Just wait on the New Testament prophet to come through a say thus sayeth the Lord.

prophecy in the modern age is no replacement for seeking and hearing God for yourself. all of what we need to know about life is contained in the word of God the bible.

while we have a personal relationship with Jesus, we don’t have a personal Jesus, this little divinity in my pocket that is for me and not anyone else!
if it is a prophetic word then it will point back to Jesus and it will line up with the word of God.
we have to move away from this idea that when it feels good its God when it feels bad its the devil.
when you look at the Old testament The prophet called the people back to obedience to Himself.
I wouldn't worry about someone ‘prophesying to you repent. many times God will give the prophet a vision and conceal the meaning from the prophet and but the person who its for knows what it is.

that’s what the Apostle Paul meant when He told Timothy to wage war concerning Prophecy.
so many people are asking for deliverance from, when sometimes it’s deliverance through sometimes its just so you can be next to someone who is going through.
when you wage war you believe what God has said more than your current season.
