Call to worship
Zephaniah 3:17 NKJV
17 The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Tithing
Proverbs 21:25–26 NKJV
25 The desire of the lazy man kills him, For his hands refuse to labor. 26 He covets greedily all day long, But the righteous gives and does not spare.

“Healed and Delivered”

Matthew 8:16–17 NKJV
16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”

1. When night Fell the curtain fell on darkness.

Matthew 8:16 NKJV
16 When evening had come, they brought to Him many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick,
The Crowds came at night to not violate the sabbath.
what happened in all of those homes as they waited for the sunset? the word of what had happened with the previous miracles spreed and hope began to rise.
what He did with the leper,
what He did with the centenarian servant,
what He did with Peters mother in law.
what can he do with me?
what does He want to do with you?
The Devil is a bully!
the devil cannot stop you so he wants to scare you!
He uses lies and fear ti intimidate us into doing to ourselves what he cannot do.
Colossians 1:13 NKJV
13 He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
when the people saw what had happened to Peter’s mother in law faith began to rise and they brought the hopeless people of the town to Jesus.
they gathered the hopeless and brought them to Jesus. \

2. He healed the sick.

James 5:14–18 NKJV
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. 16 Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. 17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. 18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit.
Jesus us still healing the sick today!
James 5:14–15 NKJV
14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
this is why you see us anointing with oil in the last song.
for years it has been our custom to anoint with oil and pray for the sick.
that’s why its in the bulletin!
He heals emotionally!

3. He still delivers!

He still is rescuing those daily who cannot rescue themselves.
some people have lived normal lives. I don’t hang out with any of them but they do! they have never been stuck in the same way that you and I have been. it doesn't mean they where saved it just means they have never done to themselves what you and I have done.
what’s the worse thing that you can think of?
He can and will deliver!
1 Corinthians 6:11 NKJV
11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
there is not a bondage that hell can concocted that the king of kings has not destroyed!

4. He does these things because He was always Going to.

Matthew 8:17 NKJV
17 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our infirmities And bore our sicknesses.”
Isaiah 53:4–5 NKJV
4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
He didn’t have to be convinced he was always coming to do the work!
Revelation 13:8 NKJV
8 All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
He is still doing it today!
Philippians 1:6 NKJV
6 being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
