Introduction: 1. What happens when you throw a rock in a still pond?
2. It creates a ripple effect that spreads across the whole lake.
3. Sin does the exact same thing.
Body: I. Our sin reflects our relationship with God.
A. Achan’s sin was against God. (
Joshua 7:10-11
)
B. Sin separates us from God. (
Isaiah 54:2
)
C. Jesus died to fix that separation. (
Heb. 10:19-23
)
II. Our sin reflects our relationship with self.
A. Achan’s sin was a clear violation of the law. (

B. Sin sears our conscience. (

C. Jesus can clear our conscience. (

III. Our sin effects our relationship with others.
A. Achon’s sin caused trouble to fall on all of Israel. (
