INDE Small Group Questions 9-28-22

Text: Acts 26:1-23
In the final chapters of Acts, we see Paul in Court. He has been brought to the Roman Authorities by Jewish leaders because of his declaration of the Gospel.
The Jews have made some outlandish, and dishonest accusations against Paul in an attempt to make him seem like a criminal.
Have Someone Read Acts 26:1-5
In Vs. 4-5, What is Paul purpose for making this statement?
To remind everyone that He was once a part of the group who were against him.
Have you ever felt like you you were once a part of a specific group, but once you became a Christian you felt like an outsider?
Emphasize that this is not a bad thing!
Have Someone Read. Acts 24:5-6, then Read Acts 26:6-7.
What were the Accusations the Jews made against Paul? (Acts 24)
Paul did not do these things, or anything wrong for that matter
Why was the real reason the Jews wanted Paul gone? (Acts 26)
Have Someone Read Acts 26:9-11.
In our Study this month about Our testimony, We’ve talked about the three parts of Our Testimony. What is the significance of this part of Paul’s Testimony?
(Part of Testimony: Before Jesus) This part of our testimony displays that we are broken people, and we have made mistakes. Just like the people we’re talking too. People connect with Vulnerability
Does it ever seem hard, or weird, to share this part of our story?
Have Someone Read Acts 26:12-18.
Which part of His testimony is Paul sharing in these verses?
(Salvation/How he met Jesus)
This can be difficult, because there are differing interpretations of this moment for many people.
The most important aspect of this portion of our testimony is that someone who has been saved, know when and where they got saved. It’s a life changing moment, and if we can’t remember how and when it happened, it probably hasn’t happened yet.
Can anyone share this part of their testimony?
Have Someone Read Acts 26:19-23.
What part of His Testimony i Paul Sharing in these verses?
(After Jesus), How God has changed his life.
It’s easy for us to say, “I’m a Christian” but our lives don’t look any different from before we met him.
What are some things in these verses that Paul has done that He never would have done before meeting Jesus?
Preached (Went and Told) (Go and Tell)
Was willfully imprisoned
Didn’t cave to pressure, but stood firm and followed Jesus (even when it was hard)
What are some things that make it hard to follow Jesus today?
Have you ever gave in to the pressure, and turned your back on Jesus?
Even when we turn our back on Him, He never turns his back on us.
Why is our Testimony so important?
Would Someone be willing to Share their Testimony?
