Introduction
Backstory and testimony I Grew up just a typical high school athlete.
I would claim Christ if the conversation came up, but anytime i was with my friends i would live a way that is completely opposite of how God called us to be.
When i was at Falls Creek God began to use the people and things around me to show me that my life needed to change.
Jesus did this in revelations to call out the church of Laodicea for living their lives as lukewarm, hypocritical “Christians”
Body
Because the water in Laodicea was piped in it wasn’t hot and therapeutic or cold and refreshing.
Thus it was useless.
This was Christ’s way of waking up the church to see that they are living spiritual worthlessness.
Enough so that Christ is sickened by it.
How is Christ trying to wake you up today?
Has he been telling you to wake up and you missed it?
Ways we are asleep
We are very blessed here.
So blessed that we don’t realize we are lost.
Christ hit on 5 areas his people tend to be asleep in.
Wretched
Pitiful
Poor
Blind
Naked
Conclusion
Laodicea pushed Christ outside the doors of the church and their hearts.
That’s why he is knocking.
He loves us so much that he didn’t leave following their disobedient.
God is knocking at the door of your life today
Whether you choose to let him in for the first time
or
You kicked him out and are letting him back in your life.
either way the Lord is saying that he wants to eat with you, to fellowship with you, to pour into you!
How is Christ trying to wake you up?
God wants to fill your life with the life changing power of Christ.
That doesn’t mean wealth and riches, but truly being fulfilled in the Lord.
