Intro

How is it going everyone? i hope you all have had an amazing week so far. I am pretty sure i have met all of you but if i haven’t. my name is Austin and i am the pastor here at the fold. and i am so happy you have chosen to join us today.
Over the past 10 months, us here at the fold have been really putting an emphasis on community. We wanted to have a community here that everyone could feel comfortable hanging out and talking with anyone and i personally believe that we are on a really good trajectory with that. but we were missing one thing. We wanted to start a study that everyone could engage with. This has been on my mind for a while, but the thing was, i didn't want to just have a study for the sake of having one. Us as a team here at the fold wanted it to be something that could mean something to everyone. As we were sitting and talking and thinking it through, two main ideas came up, how to make our faith our own and looking at individuals through scripture. So that is where this title Faith Through Failure came into play. We want to look at individuals through scripture, but not just the amazing this they did, but also where they dropped the ball, where they doubted, where they failed so that we can see them and remember that they were humans just like us who strive after God but also failed in the process, but in that failure they found themselves and God continue to use them.
How these nights will look is twice a month we will be looking at a different person in scripture and we will look at their lives, where they won and where they failed. And after that, as you can see there are pieces of paper on your tables, those are some questions you can work through together and where we can really share our thoughts and feelings. This is a place where it is okay to challenge each other. I strongly believe that some of the best learning isnt done by the person at the front. Its done by the people in the discussions who listened to what was said and then take that and continue that learning with one another. you can read scripture together, ask each other follow up questions. and whenever you feel like you are done, you can just hang out. but i encourage you to really dig in to those times. we are all in this together and we want to learn with one another.
